Direct Selling Europe (DSE) is the European Trade Association of leading direct selling companies and national direct selling associations representing the interests of the sustainable and customer-oriented direct selling industry in the EU.
Our Members distribute high quality and high visibility products which are in strong demand with consumers. They abide by the highest ethical standards and have pioneered fair practices in direct selling in Europe.
Key figures about direct selling in Europe
- > 13 billion Euro total turnover in the EU (in 2008)
- > 10 million direct sellers in wider Europe
- 83% are women and work part-time
- 97% of direct sellers value the flexibility offered by direct selling
- 25% of new direct sellers were not previously in any form of employment
- 29% of direct sellers are aged 50+.
