Employment legislation
The ability to provide flexible self-employment and the opportunity to be rewarded on the basis of achievement is the key to the success of direct selling.
As stated in the European Treaties, the European Union (EU) has the competence to develop employment and socia policies applicable throughout the EU. These policies have a significant impact on Member States’ employment law and employee rights. EU directives include laws on, among others, data protection, flexicurity, protection of ‘atypical’ workers (such as independent workers) and working time.
